Despite the challenging global and domestic business environment in 2007, I am pleased to report that the Group had risen up to the challenge by achieving a signifi cant milestone when, for the first time, its revenue crossed the RM2.5 billion mark while its pre-tax profit surpassed RM250 million. The Group recorded revenue of RM2.78 billion and a pre-tax profi t of RM283.5 million in 2007 representing an increase of about 98.6% and 89.2% respectively over its previous year's revenue of RM1.4 billion and pre-tax profit of RM149.8 million.
