WCT Engineering Berhad won its first local highway design and build turnkey project from Kumpulan Guthrie Berhad in 2001. GCE is a 22.65 km dual three-lanes, open toll system expressway connecting Jelutong-North-South Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) to Kuang Interchange along North South Expressway (NSE).
GCE commences just before the river bridge across Sungai Damansara at Batu Tiga on the existing State Road B9, and traverses northerly through Paya Jaras and terminates at Kuang, with a total of nine (9) interchanges. GCE wil provides connection with the proposed Lebuhraya Assam Jawa Taman Rimba Templer (LATAR) and North-South Expressway. In addition, GCE will also form part of the western link of the proposed Kuala Lumpur Outer Ring Road. |
