With over 27 years in property development, WCT Land, a subsidiary of WCT Holdings Bhd, is known for its successful projects in Bandar Bukit Tinggi, Petaling Jaya, Kuala Lumpur, Kota Kinabalu and Johor. Its expertise spans residential, commercial and recreational spaces, contributing to urban regeneration and enhancing communities.

Since its establishment, WCT Land has built nearly 18,000 properties. Each development reflects its distinctive DNA of affordable luxury, robust safety features, prime connectivity, pleasant community living and lifestyle convenience.

For example, The Maple Residences in W City OUG, Kuala Lumpur, offer luxurious features such as high ceilings, full-height glass windows, and solid timber flooring, This freehold development includes 3.3 acres of landscaped facilities, featuring garden decks across two storeys. Another unique project is the resort-inspired Pavilion Mont'' Kiara, offering high-end residences and villas with private car parks, lifts, pools and concierge services. Meanwhile, the Adison Serviced Apartment in Johor Bahru is designed as a green-fronting residential and commercial development, located within walking distance of the johor Golf and Country Club (JGCC).

WCT Land's developments are known for their premium finish quality, adherence to strict project timelines, and high service standards. This consistency is achieved through cohesive management, as most projects are developed, designed and constructed by entities within the group.

Committed to sustainability, WCT Land incorporates energy-efficient features, solar energy generation, comprehensive waste management systems and eco-friendly elements in its projects. Construction sites are planned to minimise environmental impact and building orientations are optimised for thermal comfort. At its residential developments, greenery is incorporated into podiums and facility areas to create gardens and green walls. Two of its projects, Maple Residences and Pavilion Mont'' Kiara, have obtained Green RE certifications.

A winner for bold transformation

At the MDA 2024, WCT set a new precedent by winning the Transformation Award for its remarkable turnaround of a project abandoned for 15 years, transforming it into the vibrant Paradigm Johor Bahru-a mixed development that includes Paradigm Mall Johor Bahru, Paradigm Residence Johor Bahru and Hyatt Place Johor Bahru.

The transformation involved a meticulous six-month forensic test to preserve the structural integrity while adhering to sustainable practices and environmental responsibility. WCT Land also upgraded the surrounding infrastructure, including constructing a U-turn ramp that connects Jalan Skudai to Paradigm Mall Johor Bahru, easing traffic congestion and benefiting local commuters.

This comprehensive approach has generated exceptional value. Paradigm Mall Johor Bahru now thrives with 1.3 million sq ft of net lettable area, a 98% occupancy rate, and houses Johor's first indoor skating rink. Hyatt Place Johor Bahru Paradigm boasts 204 rooms with a convention centre, while Paradigm Residence Johor Bahru is a sought after residential address, exemplifying WCT''s premium finish quality, durability and aesthetic appeal.

WCT Holdings, the parent company, also received the Top-of-the-Chart Award at MDA 2024. Chong Wah Hing, WCT Land's chief operating officer, remarked that both achievements highlight the group's collective effort to set a high benchmark for excellence.

“We are deeply honoured to receive these prestigious accolades at the Malaysia Developer Awards 2024.

The Special Awards - Transformation Award is a testament to WCT Land's expertise and commitment to innovation, sustainability and revitalisation.

The Paradigm Johor Bahru sets a benchmark for future developments by demonstrating that with vision and dedication, significant transformation is achievable, serving as a model for other urban revitalisation projects.

The Top-of-the-Chart Award for WCT Holdings is equally significant, reflecting our strong financial stability, resilience and progressive strategies that have underpinned our growth. We are proud of our team’s collective efforts and these awards reaffirm our ongoing pursuit of excellence and sustainability across all facets of our business.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the organisers, Star Media Group and FIABCI Malaysia, as well as to our employees, directors and stakeholders, for their contributions to these achievements.
