PETALING JAYA, 23rd May 2022 – New World Petaling Jaya Hotel, the 5-Star luxury hotel is set to rebrand to Le Méridien Petaling Jaya with effect from June 1st, 2022. Le Méridien is known to be one of the most distinctive premium brands under Marriott International and will soon transform the hotel to give an exclusive lifestyle experience.

Jelas Puri Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of WCT Holdings Berhad (“WCT”), entered into a franchise agreement with Marriott International to rebrand the 5-Star luxury hotel. The 300 rooms property will continue to serve both business and leisure guests, offering global customer service standards in tandem with the Marriott International standards.

Le Méridien, the premier lodging destination, is the ultimate epitome of luxury that offers memorable and glamorous travel experience with unique perspectives incorporating Chic, Cultured and Discovery elements which were inspired by the brand’s origin, from Paris.

The rebranding will showcase the enhanced version of the hotel’s services. The current Lounge will be rebranded as ‘Latitude 03⁰ 06’, while the dining restaurant namely Pasar Baru, a restaurant inspired by Malaysia’s lively street food markets, and PJ’S Bar and Grill, one of Petaling Jaya’s most sociable rooftop venues will remain. In addition, guest members will also enjoy the Le Meridien’s various F&B programmes that will evoke their culinary journey.

The styling of the hotel interior will be transformed to the distinctive Le Méridien style which is the Timeless Chic Design inspired by the brand’s European roots.
