GOMBAK, 27 MAY 2026 – WCT Holdings Berhad (“WCT” or “the Group”), an investment holding company with businesses in engineering and construction, property development, as well as investment in and management of retail malls, hotels, and business aviation, reaffirmed its commitment to community well-being through a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative held in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidiladha. The initiative involved the korban ritual at Surau Al- Mukmin, Taman Mutiara Gombak.
Organised under WCTGives and guided by its #WeCareTogether pillar, the initiative aimed to support the local community while fostering the spirit of compassion, unity, and giving during the festive season.
As part of the initiative, WCT and Surau Al-Mukmin came together to carry out the korban ritual, reflecting their shared care and support for the local community. Meat from the korban ritual was distributed to approximately 200 asnaf and B40 beneficiaries in the surrounding area, ensuring that the initiative meaningfully reached those most in need.
Dato’ Lee Tuck Fook, Group Managing Director of WCT, said, “The programme reflects WCT’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its role as a responsible and caring corporate partner in nation-building. At WCT, we believe that sustainable community development extends beyond physical development and encompasses community welfare, social values, and the spirit of togetherness. Through this programme, we hope to contribute as a gesture of care and corporate support for the local community, particularly in bringing joy to those in need during the Aidiladha celebration.”
Representing WCT at the event was Halmiaskandar Kasmiri, Head of Internal Audit, WCT Holdings Berhad, who joined representatives from Surau Al-Mukmin and members of the local community in carrying out the programme.
The programme also included a communal cooking session involving Surau Al-Mukmin and members of the local community, further fostering a spirit of togetherness and participation. This was followed by the distribution of meat from the korban ritual to asnaf and B40 families in the surrounding area.
Launched in 2022, WCTGives embodies WCT’s commitment to balancing profitability with purpose — creating shared value for both business and society through its three core pillars: #WeCareTogether, #AGreenerTomorrow, and #EducationforAll.
