WCT Promotes Workplace Wellness with Health Awareness Program at Sultan Ismail Petra Airport Project Site

WCT’s Engineering & Construction Division reinforced its commitment to employees’ health and wellness by organising a Health Awareness Program on 9 September 2025 at Sultan Ismail Petra Airport Project Site in Kelantan. The event recorded an impressive turnout of 671 participants comprising WCT employees as well as subcontractor representatives and workers.
A series of activities were carried out to promote healthcare and raise awareness on occupational risks including a Health Awareness Talk addressing occupational health diseases commonly associated with construction activities and comprehensive health screening.

Health Awareness Talk focused on occupational health risks, including exposure to asbestos, noise-induced hearing loss from prolonged equipment and machinery use and musculoskeletal disorders arising from repetitive work and manual handling.
Presentation of awards to outstanding employees in recognition of their exceptional performance and dedication in Health & Safety.
Comprehensive Health Screening provided by Klinik Primer Cherang included blood tests, urine tests, blood pressure checks, body mass index (BMI) assessments and on-site medical consultation.
The Health Awareness Program underscored the importance of safeguarding employees’ well-being. By prioritising health, safety, and overall wellness beyond construction works, WCT continues to foster a stronger, healthier and more resilient workforce at its project sites.
